Forgetful New Year

There has been a great amount of noise and activity coming from my corner of Cary Street Studios since Move-In Day (that was December 18, a local holiday according to me).  Puffing, scraping, banging, clanging, sawing, sanding, hammering, hacking: you may notice that my usual loom sounds (think soft metal shimmer... a pleasant shhhh...shhhh...shhhh) are absent from the above list.  I was surprised and pleased when the move itself took half the time I expected, and have been surprised again (and not so pleased) when the studio set up took about four times as long as expected!  The looms are finally up and running, and each pencil, scissor, and T-pin are in their proper place.  To work!  Right...what was I working on?  Just kidding, I remember.  I'm working on a really great abstracted seaweed kind of scarf (hey, that's nice...maybe I'll call this one Seaweed Scarf) and most importantly, I'm supposed to be keeping track of the time I take to make them.  I got half way through pulling my new warp onto the loom before I remembered that part, so now I'm leaving myself notes.  "Say, what do you hope for in the New Year, Little Fool?"  Oh, the usual...excitement, happiness, and (as always), accuracy.
