Picture Day Anxieties

Oh, if I could only leave this to the professionals!
I have discovered the one part of my process that I would happily entrust to someone else: photographing the finished goods.  I've taken lots of these kind of pictures since my scarves began rolling off the loom over a year ago.  So why am I having such a hissy fit today, as I attempt to document my inventory of scarves for the new website?  Maybe that gorgeous photo in Belle Magazine is partly to blame...I wish I could make photographs like that...but there is a bigger reason for my recently developed anxiety behind the camera.  I want to create a cleaner, more homogeneous style for the photos (this means no more brick walls and old window screens), because they will become the storefront of my online shop.  It has therefore become even more important that my photographs represent the scarves accurately and in all their glorious detail.  This second part feels impossible: how can I reveal all the features of a scarf in a few images?  Yep, I'm feeling the pressure to look my best on this picture day...but it seems that I woke up today with gum in my bangs.  One thing is certain: when I can afford it, I'm hiring a real photographer.  As that is unlikely to happen anytime soon, I suppose I should quit the whining and get to snappin'.
